Slaughter and May senior partner Tim Clark has gone on the record about the firm's plans to compete in the international market by extending its group of best friend law firms into Asia.
Clark makes the disclosure in the May edition of The Lawyer Podcast.
The comments follow The Lawyer's exclusive revelation (2 April) that Slaughters was ramping up its global strategy and had hosted a two-day meeting with its best friends in Asia last month.
The podcast, which is a radio-style programme available on the internet, also includes comments from Clark on Slaughters' plans to take advantage of the changing M&A market to target the booming private equity market.
