Skadden promotes two to London partnership

US firm Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has promoted two City associates to its partnership.
The firm has promoted London corporate lawyer Lorenzo Corte and litigation lawyer Patrick Heneghan, bringing the total number of partners in London to 29.
Skadden added a total of nine to its partnership worldwide with the majority of promotions in New York, where the firm made up four. Tokyo, Sydney and Washington DC also had one promotion each.
The number of promotions this year are significantly lower than last year, when the firm made up a total of 25.
The promotions come after The Lawyer reported that Skadden’s UK office boosted its revenues by five per cent last year from $130m in 2007 to $137m (30 March).
