SJ Berwin's new bonus structure's a bit rich

SJ Berwin associates are going to have a nice weekend.

As we exclusively reveal today (see story), the silver circle firm is putting in place a bonus structure where associates can earn up to 75 per cent of base salary.

Yes, you read that right.

The increase means that a two year-PQE associate earning £66,000 could be eligible for a bonus of up to £49,500. That would boost their total earnings potential to £115,500.

Three year-PQE associates earning £74,000 could pocket up to £129,500 in total. That's more than the junior partner take at Bristows, Berrymans Lace Mawer, Blake Lapthorn and Reynolds Porter Chamberlain.
