SJ berwin wins race for olympic site work

SJ Berwin has joined the slew of firms looking for a slice of the Olympic action. The firm advised on part of the regeneration of the Old Street roundabout, which will become a gateway landmark to the London 2012 Olympic site. SJ Berwin advised new client Fusiongold, a purpose-specific offshore vehicle, on the £64m acquisition of a 2.8-acre site at 183-213 Old Street. Howard Kennedy real estate partner Chris Langan advised the seller, Frogmore Property. SJ Berwin real estate partner John Eldridge advised Fusiongold on the acquisition and will continue to advise on the planned twin-tower dual residential and commercial development, which will create 700,000 sq ft of residential, office and retail space.
