SJ Berwin has made up eight new partners in its 2011 promotions round, one more than last year’s figure.
Four of the new partners are based in the firm’s London HQ, with a further two in Frankfurt and one each in Madrid and Paris. Last year, five of the seven new partners were based in the City.
Litigation and real estate are the best-represented practice areas. Unusually for a firm often most associated with its corporate arm, that practice only saw one partner added. The financial markets, funds and tax groups also all saw their partner headcounts grow by one following the promotions.
Managing partner Rob Day said in a statement: “These are eight excellent lawyers and we’re proud to see them join our partnership. I look forward to working with them, delivering a really first rate service to our clients.”
The full list of new partners is as follows:
Gregg Beechey (Financial Markets)
Steven Cowins (Real Estate)
Greg Lascelles (Litigation)
Oliver Rochman (Funds)
Birgit Hübscher-Alt (Corporate) Lars Reubekeul (Real Estate)
