SJ Berwin hikes funds nous with Babcock hire

Thomsen, who previously worked in the energy team at Australian firm Deacons (now Norton Rose ­Australia) before moving to the UK with Babcock, ­started her new role at the City firm last week.

The new appointment is designed to help SJ Berwin’s funds practice and the wider energy and infrastructure team, according to group head Elaine ­Gibson-Bolton.

“It’s a very important ­lateral hire to help round off our one-stop shop offering for infrastructure funds,” said Gibson-Bolton. “For us it’s important, as we want to be able to do more transactional work for existing clients.”

Thomsen will sit in SJ Berwin’s infrastructure funds team, which is led by Michael Halford.
