SJ Berwin has re-hired real estate partner Michael Scott after he had an 18-month stint at Scottish firm Shepherd & Wedderburn.
Scott left SJ Berwin in January 2010 to become a partner in Shepherds’ property group in its City office and is understood to be rejoining his old firm imminently.
He is the latest addition to a real estate team that suffered multiple losses in 2010, including the departure in September of a four-partner team to Irwin Mitchell headed by Jon Vivian (27 September 2010).
In the same month as Scott’s departure, real estate partners Nick Minkoff and Stephen Hughes left SJ Berwin for Mishcon de Reya (4 January 2010).
Shepherds property partner Nick Ryden praised Scott and said: “I’m very disappointed that he’s left and wish him well.”
