Sinclair Roche & Temperley is building its commercial property practice by taking on a property finance specialist.
The City-based firm is traditionally known for shipping but is now seeking to boost its credibility in commercial property.
David Harris, a specialist in banking and secured lending, has left City firm Campbell Hooper to become a property and finance consultant at Sinclair Roche. He is the third and most senior commercial property appointment to the seven-lawyer and two partner commercial property team at Sinclair Roche in the past eight months. He follows senior assistant Imelda Moffat and assistant solicitor Justin Webb who joined in September and January respectively.
A spokesperson for the firm says Harris has worked on major funding projects in Europe, Asia in the Far East and has brought a number of new clients with him.
Martin Whitworth, head of commercial property, says: "David's experience will be a real asset to the firm, not only in developing our growing UK commercial property practice but also internationally, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe and the Far East."
Harris says the union will prove to be "very productive".
A source at Campbell Hooper says the move was a "lifestyle choices."
