Richards Butler has taken on the remainder of Sinclair Roche & Temperley's international trade and commodities team
Sinclair Roche partner Sîan Fellows has joined Richards Butler along with senior shipping assistant Sîan Morris, who will join the firm's shipping department. Of the three-partner Sinclair Roche team, partner Ben Leach joined the merged Stephenson Harwood-Sinclair Roche firm, partner Robert Parson went to Clyde & Co and Fellows has just joined Richards Butler. Fellows, who says she was offered partnership at Stephenson Harwood, joins Richards Butler as a consultant because she has decided to work part time for the immediate future. She specialises in contentious and non-contentious work in the energy sector, in particular oil trading disputes. She said: "At the time of the merger I decided to leave because Richards Butler has the best team and I felt I'd have more support there than I would at Stephenson Harwood." Fellows said that some of her clients with work in progress have moved with her to Richards Butler already. She also said she expected and hoped that the bulk of her client portfolio would continue to instruct her at her new home. Fellows recently worked on the Fortune Hong Kong Trading Cosco Feoso (Singapore) litigation alongside former Sinclair Roche senior associate Lianjun Li, who has just joined Richards Butlers' Hong Kong Office.
