Scottish firm Simpson & Marwick has acquired a residential property team from Aberdeen-based firm Paull & Williamsons (P&W). The team will join Simpsons' established Aberdeen-based residential property group in November this year. While the firm is keen to expand its residential property capabilities in the city, P&W will be focusing on its corporate and commercial and energy services. P&W chairman Bruce Smith said: "It was a very successful team for us, but the firm's moving in a different direction now. We want to advance our corporate and commercial practice groups, which have been extremely successful for us." The team is made up of one partner, Dave Geddie, who heads the group, three lawyers and 13 other staff members. Geddie said: "There's enormous potential in the Aberdeen and North East markets to develop and expand the quality residential property service for which my team is already known."
