Reply Link Anonymous 27 September 2012 at 12:11 It’s not just the market level and consequent ability it will give them to offer lower cost rates, it’s because Bristol is a genuinely important market for insurance in general and PI in particular. It gives a suggestion of the importance of this practice area of Simmons’ thinking. Reply Link Anonymous 27 September 2012 at 15:32 Helen Hancock is a great lawyer. I went to a meeting with her 10 yrs or so ago at an investment bank with respect to the launch of a complex structured finance product. It was someone else’s transaction and she was parachuted in and knew nothing about it but completely bossed the meeting. Reply Link Anonymous 2 November 2014 at 08:37 I worked with Helen on numerous transactions whilst at Merrill Lynch in the 1990’s and she is not only a real legal asset to any firm, but in a unique perspective, she remains one of the best lawyers’ I have ever worked alongside. He drive, excellence, commitment and professionalism to get the job down is a reflection of her own skills and aspirations.
