Simmons & Simmons has re-appointed managing partner Mark Dawkins for a further three-year term.
Dawkins will lead the firm as it bids to expand its international corporate practice and secure more high-profile M&A work.
The firm reported double digit growth last year and has set its sights on faster revenue growth than its main competitors.
Dawkins was unopposed and his second term will run from May this year to April 2011.
He said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my first term, benefiting directly from the support of the board and the partnership in progressing a number of key objectives. However, I believe there are many further improvements still capable of being made - I feel it is very much a 'job half done'."
The manager partner said that helping colleagues deliver excellent service and strengthen client relationships was a key priority for his final term.
His appointment was overseen by Simmons senior partner David Dickinson, who added: "To be unopposed shows the partnership's satisfaction with the success he has achieved to date."
