•Victoria Handley and Laurence Brown have formed new firm Handley Brown in Preston, Lancashire. The new firm will specialise in defendant services to insurers and the self-insured. Brown, who was formerly head of defendant operations at Silverbeck Rymer, was made redundant from the firm last year and decided to set up his own operation. He brings with him 15 years' experience in loss adjusting. Handley was formerly an insurance solicitor at Beachcrofts in Manchester and the pair will handle intermediary claims-handling operations.
