Silk joins 11 Stone Buildings from Littleton Chambers

Charles Samek QC, who was called to the bar in 1989 and took silk in 2009, has taken his litigation practice to the business law set.

His recent cases include a £130m Ponzi fraud in KBC Lease v Total Asset, a £70m claim in relation to the sale of the Somerfield supermarket chain in Isis v Adalsteinsson, and representing Icelandic investors trying to recover money from failed bank Kaupthing and its subsidiaries.

Samek’s broad practice covers commercial litigation, civil fraud, entertainment, IP and international arbitration.

Specialist areas include commercial contract disputes, civil fraud, private international law, financial and investment disputes, international arbitration, entertainment, intellectual property, and insolvency.
