Siemens IT Solutions and Services, the IT and outsourcing outfit spun off from global electronics company Siemens, has appointed a new UK general counsel.
Jean Hughes, the former director of legal and public affairs at online auction site eBay, has made the cut to fill the role at the e4.7bn (£4.09bn) business.
She will report into Siemens UK legal head Gerard Gent, who has been in his position since 1996.
Gent is also company secretary at Siemens, which has 35,000 employees.
Before joining eBay in 2007, Hughes worked as a senior legal adviser at Fujitsu and at a host of firms with IP/IT-strong brands, including Baker & McKenzie, SNR Denton legacy firm Denton Wilde Sapte and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
