Sidley Austin Brown & Wood has embarked on a joint venture with management consultants World Class International (WCI) to offer pharmaceutical companies regulatory advice
In what is believed to be the first collaboration of this kind the venture will focus on compliance and drug safety issues and aims to give companies a harmonised approach to tackling the rapidly changing regulatory environment.
The two organisations decided to combine their expertise after they found they were brought in separately to advise on the same projects.
Sidley has a dedicated food and drug practice headed by Washington-based partner Scott Bass, that has 12 partners spread over six locations, including Brussels.
WCI is a UK-based company with clients including AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Bayer.
