Should I tailor my seat choices to move in-house?

  • Well I would suggest doing ones that are commercially driven - as best companies to work for are the FTSE100 and they are going to want you to have experience in corporate and commercial work, and probably litigation. But it does depend on the company you would like to work at!

  • I am not sure if it really matters what seats you do - at the end of the day you have to do both contensious and non-contensious work so ti should give you a broad range of expertise...

  • Because they are more likely to have the capacity to take on in-house lawyers I assume. And especially if you are only going to be newly qualified rather than a few yr pqe!
