Shoosmiths’ award winning recoveries services practice group has appointed a head of compliance to support its market leading position.

Hedley Harrison has joined the national law firm’s recoveries services practice group (RSG) to provide pragmatic and commercial regulatory support and guidance to the business and its clients. Hedley will continue to ensure RSG’s working practices are compliant with relevant FCA and other associated financial services regulation.

Hedley joins from life and pensions provider Diligenta Ltd where he was head of compliance, responsible for implementing and developing compliance strategy and frameworks in line with regulatory requirements. He also provided direct regulatory guidance, consultancy support and project management to all areas of the business. Previous to that, Hedley held roles at insurance, life and pensions outsource services provider SERCO Listening Company Ltd and NationwideBuilding Society.
