Shoosmiths promotes 18 to role of associate

Shoosmiths has made 18 associate promotions for 2013 in departments including commercial, corporate, private client, real estate and recoveries services. The promotions took effect on 1 September.

Commercial promotions include Sarah Andrews (litigation), Jessica Lee (intellectual property), Jennifer Featherstone and Richard Barker (both employment). Corporate promotions include Lisa Sigalet, Suzanne Love (banking) and Gareth Davies.

Private client promotions include Kate Milton, Kishma Small, Sarah Poynter and Anjali Kanish. Finally, real-estate promotions include Matthew Kemp, Ruth Bourton, Rosalind Andrews and Nicola Jones.

The associate promotions follow the firm’s May round, which saw six new partners and 16 new senior associates among a total of 22 promotions.

The new partners were: Helen Burgess and Stuart Lawrenson (both employment); Paul Kirkpatrick (commercial litigation); Karen Procter (corporate); Phil Ryan (regulatory); and James Wynne (real estate).

Made up to senior associate were: Siobhan Atkin, Simon Fennell and Sarah Lovell (all employment); Kate Barry and Erica Simpson (commercial litigation); Sharine Burgess (private client); Helen Collinge (recoveries services group); Emma Dolphin, Robert Laugharne, Alex Lilley, Tom Wilde (all corporate); Sarah Livestro (competition); Hayley Saunders (regulatory); Ewan Drummond and Joe Stephenson (commercial); and Aaron Harlow (restructuring and insolvency).
