A London building made famous by appearing as Gotham City Police Station in Christopher Nolan’s recent Batman trilogy has been sold in a major office redevelopment deal.

Shoosmiths provided real estate advice to George Farmiloe & Sons Ltd on the freehold sale of the Grade II listed Farmiloe Building in Farringdon. The building, owned by George Farmiloe & Sons Ltd for well over a century, and which is located close to the new Crossrail station under development at Farringdon, was sold to Standard Life Investments who intend to redevelop the building into contemporary office and warehouse space totalling 64,777sq ft.

Real estate partner Nathan Rees led the deal alongside associate Laura Limpus. They were supported by partner Patrick Garner and senior associate Helen Andrews, both specialists in construction.
