UK entertainment and media law firm Sheridans is set to launch a new film and television practice after snatching two partners from The Simkins Partnership.
Media law specialists Peter McInerney and Robin Hilton, both former partners of Simkins, will lead the new practice.
Peter and Robin’s team will also include assistants Kate Davies and Kazuko Cowley, who also join from Simkins.
The strategic move enables Sheridans, whose clients include Kylie Minogue, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Robbie Williams and Peter Gabriel, to offer a wider, integrated service to its clients at home and abroad.
Sheridans partner Michael Thomas said the film and television practice was the next step in the firm’s expansion.
Thomas said: " As well as music expertise, our offering also includes theatre, new media, sport, IP and computer gaming. Bringing film and television into this mix is an important next step."
