Shearman Germany loses tax partner to Gibson Dunn

Shearman & Sterling‘s Munich-based tax partner Hans Martin Schmid has quit the firm for US rival Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.

Schmid was previously with Clifford Chance’s German merger partner Pünder Volhard Weber & Axster before joining Shearman for five years. The Munich office of Gibson Dunn, which opened in 2002, comprises six partners and 13 associates.
