Shaw Pittman ditches London corporate practice

The London office of US firm Shaw Pittman has closed down its corporate practice following the departure of corporate partners Charles Severs and Robert Bishop for DLA last month. The two remaining associates from the corporate group have now departed, with one joining Severs and Bishop at DLA. The London office is now stripped down to its core outsourcing practice, which is led by London managing partner Alistair Maughan and partner David Skinner. The rest of the team now comprises nine associates after the firm took two from Tarlo Lyons to bolster the office, which was hit in the summer by the departures of two partners and seven associates.
