Shadbolt & Co rebrands as ‘Shadbolt/Law’

Shadbolt & Co has rebranded as “Shadbolt/Law,” dropping the suffix “& Co” from its name.

The firm has also ditched the lettering of its name, which is written in the commonplace Times Roman font, for “News Gothic Extra Bold with tight character”, and is redeveloping its website.

Head of marketing Jane Huntsman told The Lawyer that the rebrand “reflects our plans for growth - it is confident, bold and cutting edge.”

Huntsman added that “the forward slash represents partnerships within the firm and with our clients.”

The rebrand was carried out in-house with assistance from external branding agency Bluefield.

The Shadbolt rebrand follows closely behind that of that of Martineau, which dropped “Johnson” from its name (The Lawyer, 24 June 2008 )
