Most lawyers expect to have acknowledgments in legal textbooks, but not so for Linklaters' corporate partner Roger Barron.
Tulkinghorn, when indulging his softer, more feminine side, was flicking through chick-lit opus The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella and noticed Barron getting a thank you for his help with the book.
A little bit of sleuthing by a Tulkinghorn scribe revealed that Barron had managed to get Kinsella a day inside the magic circle firm to help research her romance story of a City lawyer.
Kinsella's research was so thorough that in the novel there's even a pile of copies of The Lawyer in the corner of the City lawyer's office.
Thanks for the support, Roger.
