Most lawyers love a good scrap, and the chaps at Fisher Scoggins are no different. The firm acted for Thames Trains on the Paddington rail disaster, Balfour Beatty in Hatfield and Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens in his five-week trial against the Health and Safety Executive. It’s an impressive list, but it pales against senior partner Mark Scoggins’ biggest ever battle, to not go into care and stay with Les Battersby in Coronation Street. At least, Tulkinghorn thinks it was Scoggins, although it may have been 11-year-old Chesney Brown. He can’t be entirely sure.
