Segro names trio of firms for property panel

Property company Segro has appointed three firms to advise it on UK property-related matters.

Eversheds, Nabarro and SJ Berwin have made the cut following a tender process at the end of last year.

Segro’s general counsel and company secretary Elizabeth Blease said: “After a thorough tender process we’re very pleased to have selected Eversheds, Nabarro and SJ Berwin to look after the legal work for our property business in the UK. We look forward to working with this top quality legal panel.”

The three firms have been appointed for a period of three years effective of today, 1 February 2010.

The panel review took place following the company’s Brixton acquisition, which created Europe’s largest Reit by property portfolio value. Segro was advised by Lovells partner Nigel Read on the deal (10 January 2009).
