Seddons names Simon Ross as new managing partner

Seddons has named residential property partner Simon Ross as its new managing partner, succeeding Robin Austin who stepped down earlier this month (12 June).

Austin stood down after ten years as managing partner and is rejoining the commercial disputes group while also holding responsibility for risk management and compliance at the firm.

The management change follows recent hires at the firm, including former Holman Fenwick Willan London real estate head Christian Taylor, who joined the firm in March. Seddons also hired litigator Christian Smith from Coffin Mew, and Kyri Papantoniou who joined the corporate practice from Healys.

Ross said in a statement: “It is an absolute privilege to assume this new role as managing partner, particularly as the firm continues to enhance its position and reputation in the market.”

Austin added: “After overseeing the development of the firm over the last 10 years, I felt it was the right time for someone else to assume the reins and build upon our firm’s strong foundations.

“I am fully confident that I am leaving the seat with the firm in a stronger and more advanced position than ten years ago and, with a number of new hires, I am sure that Simon can offer new perspectives to drive the firm even further forward.”
