Seddons has taken on Rakisons' (now Steptoe & Johnson Rakisons) former head of litigation and insolvency as a partner to head a new insolvency unit at the firm.
While at Rakisons, Mark Parkhouse worked on several big-name cases including the bankruptcies of Kevin Maxwell and Asil Nadir. He left Rakisons last year for a general counsel post at Dynegy Europe Communications in Vienna. The Vienna office has since been closed and Parkhouse has returned to general practice. He said: "We're expecting that my City insolvency and in-house telecommunications experience will add an extra depth of client service." Parkhouse will specialise in turnarounds and financial rescue, enabling Seddons to provide a complete recovery service. He is a licensed insolvency practitioner and a solicitor-advocate.
