Reinsurance company Scottish Re has hired a second in-house lawyer for its UK legal function.
William Keen joins UK head of legal George Scott at Scottish Re’s Windsor headquarters on Monday (20 June). Keen previously worked in-house at insurer UnumProvident.
Keen will focus on treaty, regulatory and claims work at Scottish Re, as well as supporting all aspects of legal work for the reinsurer’s global business. The company is headquartered in the US but has been present in the UK since 2001.
Scott said that the appointment reflects Scottish Re’s commitment to international growth, particularly in the UK, Asia and the Middle East.
