Schroders has appointed 11 firms to its legal panel, with Clifford Chance and Wragge & Co both failing to win places.
It is the first time the fund-management group has instituted a legal panel and follows the appointment of the high-profile former Barclays legal chief, Howard Trust, to the role of head of legal.
The 11-strong panel, which will remain in force for a three-year term, consists of: Allen & Overy; Berwin Leighton Paisner; Deacons (Hong Kong); Elvingers (Luxembourg); Eversheds; Linklaters; Ropes & Gray (Boston); Shaw Pittman; Simmons & Simmons; SJ Berwin and Slaughter and May.
