S&C promotes third UK associate in as many years

Sullivan & Cromwell has made up one London associate to partner for the third year in a row.

Corporate associate Benjamin Perry will be London’s new partner in January 2008. He joins competition partner Juan Rodriguez, who was made up last year and projects partner Craig Jones, who in 2005 became the only lawyer to be promoted outside the US in three years.

Sullivan has a famously tight partnership with 169 equity partners throughout its 12 offices and just 20 in London.

Six associates were made up across the firm’s global network. The US firm has made up three in the corporate practice group - Perry, Beijing office head Robert Chu and Carsten Berrar in Frankfurt.

The litigation group has also admitted three new members to the partnership - Nicolas Bourton, Suhana Han and Tracy Richelle High in the New York office.
