Having lots of different offices is a problem for Norton Rose, with the lawyers sprawling all over the City, especially after lunch. But things are due to change when the firm goes south of the river in 2007 to its new offices.
It has emerged, however, that one invaluable member of staff won't be needed in his current role. Pete the courier is currently on call to move files and sometimes even partners from one office to another. He's even been known to ferry people on the back of his motorbike around the City to meet those deadlines.
So what will Pete do when everyone at Norton Rose is at one site? Although the firm says no jobs will be lost in the move, Tulkinghorn wants to make doubly sure that Pete keeps his. Thus, the Save Pete's Job campaign begins today. (Pete's surname is not Martyr, by the way.)
