Salans has hired former Osborne Clarke partner Robert Courtneidge, a consumer finance and technology expert, as a consultant to boost the firm's London financial services practice.
Courtneidge is regarded as one of the top industry specialists in the prepaid card and payment processing sectors. He has advised many top financial institutions and technology provider, as well as several of the new players in the market.
Salans global chairman and head of the London banking and finance team Stephen Finch said Courtneidge brought "complementary and new capabilities" that would strengthen the services the firm offered its clients in the financial services, consumer finance and retail banking sectors.
Courtneidge joined Osborne Clarke's London office in 2001 from Rosenblatt. He was previously an in-house lawyer at Citibank International.
