Salans is in talks to take a five-partner team from dissolving French independent Rambaud Martel.
Rambaud Martel partners Guillaume Forbin, Michel Jockey, Pierre Lubet, Pierre-Gilles Wogue and David Masson look set to join Salans’ Paris office. They will bring with them a team of 10 lawyers working in corporate, employment and IT/IP law.
A Salans spokesperson said that the team had not yet signed an agreement with the firm, though it was likely to be finalised soon.
The news comes in the same week that Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe and the bulk of Rambaud Martel formally merged, following an agreement signed in November 2005. Proskauer Rose and Reed Smith have also taken on six and four Rambaud Martel partners respectively.
