Salans has boosted its international partnership with the promotion of two lawyers in Russia and Ukraine.
The firm has made up Russian IP head Denis Voevodin and Kiev banking and finance chief Natalia Selyakova.
Voevodin joined Salans in 2001 as of counsel, while Selyakova has enjoyed a rapid rise up the Salans ranks since joining as an associate last year from the Ukraine arm of HVB Bank, where she led the legal department. She was promoted to of counsel soon after arriving at the firm.
Salans usually promotes to the partnership at its financial year-end at the beginning of January, but has decided to make extra promotions after seeing work levels in the CIS rocket.
The main round of promotions at the beginning of the year saw 15 lawyers break into the partnership, with three coming from the firm's Moscow and Kiev offices.
Salans ;has ;enjoyed strong growth in Russia, increasing its number of fee-earners by around 50 per cent last year to hit 100 lawyers in Moscow and St Petersburg.
This month Salans hired Russian IT partner Victor Naumov ;from ;the ;St Petersburg ;office ;of German independent firm Beiten Burkhardt, along with his team of four associates.
