Salans has hired a senior associate from Denton Wilde Sapte to spearhead its London international arbitration practice.
George Burn joined Salans yesterday (8 May) as head of international arbitration in the City. He will be based in London but will work closely with Salans’ Paris international arbitration team, the firm’s largest.
Sarah Francois-Poncet, a partner in Salans’ Paris arbitration group, said Burn had experience of a very diverse range of sectors including energy, mining, construction and engineering, rail and shipping.
“Up until now we haven’t had specific arbitration expertise in London but the plan is to grow this,” she added. “George’s arrival is the first step.”
Salans’ Paris arbitration group has around 20 fee earners and six partners.
