Russell-Cooke hit by court action from widow

After her husband’s death Angela Skinner, who has instructed Campbell Courtney & Cooney, planned to sell her home and move to a smaller flat. However, she was ­subsequently sued by the vendors for failing to complete the sale because she had inadequate funds.

Skinner alleged that Russell-Cooke failed to provide appropriate advice, agreed a price for the property without obtaining a professional valuation and a price for the chattels without discussing the matter with her.

Russell-Cooke did not respond for comment.
