Rouse & Co International, is today (16 October) opening an office in Thailand.
The intellectual property (IP) experts, affiliated to London law firm Willoughby & Partners, now has a capability in eight countries, including China.
The decision to open the new office came in the wake of a two-year period, when the Thai capability was managed remotely from Rouse & Co's office in Jakarta.
Stuart Adams, Asia director at Rouse & Co, says: "The guy that we were giving most of the Thailand work to, Fabrice Mattei, made it known to us that he was thinking of leaving and setting up on his own. So we said to him, 'Why don't you set up an office as Rouse & Co?'
"Fabrice is already providing a full IP service, right the way through from anti-counterfeiting enforcement to filing patent applications."
