Rosenblatt in Brands Hatch takeover plan

Rosenblatt is advising long-term client Brands Hatch on Interpublic's £120m takeover bid.

Senior partner Ian Rosenblatt who is leading a team of four on the deal, says Brands Hatch has assured him that the firm will be retained after completion. Property and planning partner Howard Salter is also working on the deal, which consists of a share-for-share offer and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Lovell White Durrant and the London office of US firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton are acting for Interpublic, one of the world's largest advertising and marketing groups.

Lovells' London team is led by corporate partner John Davidson. The team of five includes corporate partner Andrew Pearson. Lovells' New York office is also working on the deal.

Davidson says: “Interpublic uses a different range of firms for a wide range of work. It is very much horses for courses.”

Cleary Gottlieb, Interpublic's principle US firm, is acting on registration with US regulator the Securities and Exchange Commission.
