Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii has become the first Romanian firmto open in Spain after teaming up with Garrigues’ former Central and Eastern Europe head and a former Spanish ambassador to Romania.
Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii has opened a representative office in Madrid after forming an association with local firm FústerGarcía-Berdoy, which has been set up by Garrigues’ former CEE managing partner Jaime Fúster Rufilanchas and Pablo García-Berdoy, the former Spanish ambassador to Romania,.
“We have many reasons for opening in Madrid,” says Ţuca managing partner Florentin Ţuca. “A lot of Spanish investors are interested in the Romanian market, probably because of the economic conditions in Spain: the unemployment rate’s high and a lot of Spanish investors are looking out for business opportunities in Romania in areas like energy, real-estate and infrastructure.
“In Romania there’s only one Spanish firm - Garrigues - which is a small office, and after meeting with Fúster Rufilanchas and García-Berdoy we decided to start a partnership in Madrid to assist Spanish investors in Romania.”
Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii and FústerGarcía-Berdoy will cover corporate and commercial, energy, finance, infrastructure and real estate.
