Roca Junyent acquires 12-lawyer Madrid firm

Nabarro’s new Spanish ally Roca Junyent has bolted on a 12-lawyer firm in Madrid, strengthening its team across several practice areas.
The addition of the team from local firm Vía Abogados sees executive partners José Luis Yus Respaldiza and Miguel Ángel Martínez Conde join Roca Junyent as partners. Yus Respaldiza is an insolvency partner while Martínez Conde focuses on corporate law.
Vía’s head of employment, Rosa Rodríguez Gutiérrez, becomes an associate at Roca Junyent. A further nine lawyers are also moving.
The bolt-on brings the number of lawyers at Roca Junyent to more than 50 in Madrid.
In January Roca Junyent signed up as the fifth member of Nabarro’s European alliance (23 January 2012), joining a network of independent firms in the UK, France, Germany and Italy.
