Robert H George
Robert H George is a partner in the Corporate, Finance and Infrastructure Development groups. His practice focuses on energy, infrastructure, commodities, finance and corporate matters, especially in Brazil and Latin America.
George has advised some of the largest public and private companies on a host of complex legal issues, including issues associated with multi-billion-dollar international acquisitions and divestitures, development and financing of large infrastructure projects, securitisations of financial assets and regulatory filings in the US and abroad.
After 10 years of acting as outside counsel to mostly large financial institutions and institutional investors, George accepted an in-house position with a major financial institution managing the legal issues related to several billion dollars in international and domestic assets, primarily in Brazil and other parts of South America.
He then assumed a position as the chief legal officer for an internal investment management firm managing a portfolio of assets for the largest private company in the US. George has spent the last few years residing and working in Brazil, where he has represented local and foreign clients in both inbound and outbound matters.
