London's former County Hall on the Thames is at the centre of a pending High Court action. Oceanic Village is taking the Millennium Wheel Co to court in a battle over operation of gift shops at Riverside Building. It is seeking an injunction restraining Millennium from operating a gift shop in the building along with damages. The company alleges that the Japanese owners of the site leased part of the property to Oceanic Village for a gift shop and part of the lease said the landlords were not entitled to allow others to operate gift shops on the site, except in hotels. Oceanic claims the lease has been breached and says it is going to court as Millennium refuses to give an undertaking not to run a gift shop. Oceanic is represented by Goldsmiths of London SW1.
