KENT firm Cripps Harries Hall is another
firm that enters The Rising 50, having dropped
out of the The Lawyer UK 100. In Cripps’ case
it was due to a 16 per cent dip in total turnover
following the sale of wealth management arm
Cripps Portfolio in January this year.
The sale coincided with a major internal
overhaul, during which the firm reorganised itself along eight business groups.
Property remains the biggest of these groups,
accounting for 31 per cent of the firm's turnover,
and focuses on housebuilders and institutional
builders.
Private client also continues to be an
important group, accounting for 23 per cent of
income; while corporate brought in 18 per
cent; executors and trustees 13 per cent; public
sector 9 per cent; and the two newest business
groups, partnerships and charities, 5 per cent
and 2 per cent respectively.
