LANGLEYS, a new entry to The Lawyer Rising
50, which reported a turnover of £11.2m, has
raised its profile in Yorkshire and the East
Midlands considerably in recent years.
The firm has also been on a recruitment
drive in 2006, raising its headcount to nearly
300 lawyers. It has taken a number of lawyers
out of regional heavyweights or national firms,
such as Andrew Cage, who joined the corporate
team from Addleshaw Goddard. Other hires
have come from Hammonds, Olswang and
Pinsent Masons.
Managing partner Mike Williamson reports
a half-year increase of 28 per cent for 2006-07
and the firm claims to be on track to double its
turnover within four years.
Langleys will continue to look to grow through
its commercial, private, insurance and bulk
residential conveyancing practices.
