BRADFORD and Leeds-based firm Gordons
posted a 9 per cent rise in revenue to £17.4m, just
missing out on a berth in The Lawyer UK 100.
Gordons' stated aim is to rival the 'big six' in
Leeds, but on its own terms. This includes
using the Bradford office as a lower cost
centre for doing work actually won in Leeds,
as well as retaining a significant private client
offering.
Private client accounts for 20 per cent of
Gordons' total turnover, although litigation
and property are the firm's two biggest groups,
accounting for 30 and 32 per cent of turnover
respectively.
Headline clients include Wm Morrison
Supermarkets, Congregational & General
Insurance and US lager brewer Coors.
