GUILDFORD-based Stevens & Bolton
increased turnover by 11 per cent last year,
from £11.3m to £12.5m.
The hike was fuelled partly by a spate of
hires, including David Wilkinson from
Bristows, who has become the firm's head of IP.
It was also driven by strong performances by
the corporate and real estate departments.
The firm has advised British Airways on its
litigation in the Court of Appeal arising out of a
challenge to its retirement age of 55 for its pilots
and cabin crew and it represented renewable
energy company ENER.G on the £90m sale of
a number of landfill gas power-generation
projects to Viridis Clean Energy Group.
The tax and trust, real estate and dispute
resolution teams in particular have been
identified as potential growth areas.
