NORTHERN firm Ricksons continues to
increase its turnover, this year posting £13m,
up by 22.6 per cent from last year's turnover of
£10.6m.
While the firm's insurance department
remains one of its core practice areas, there has
been a major shift in its commercial
department, which has seen its turnover post
a significant increase for the last year.
Ricksons managing partner Anthony Hughes
attributed this to the firm's strategy for increased
diversification and for "getting more out of
what we have".
The firm has made a number of lateral hires:
Keoghs private client specialist Fiona Dillon has
become private client head at Ricksons, while
family partner Angela Moores has joined from
Gordons. Ricksons also boosted its corporate
team by hiring Keith Melling as a partner
from Addleshaw Goddard.
With offices in Leeds, Manchester and
Preston, and a base in London, Ricksons has
little appetite to expand further geographically.
