SCOTTISH corporate and commercial firm
McClure Naismith saw work grow across the
board during 2005-06, with turnover rising by
6 per cent to £13.1m.
The year produced an unusually high number
of lateral hires, the benefit of which will mostly
be seen in the current financial year. A
particular coup for McClure was the arrival in
February 2006 of Ledingham Chalmers'
two-partner commercial property team, along
with three lawyers and two support staff.
The hires gave McClure an entry into the
social housing market as well as bolstering an
already active department. PPP/PFI is also
busy following the appointment of Euan Pirie
from Biggart Baillie in January.
In May the firm promoted two associates to
partner, meaning that McClure started the
current year with a record 31 partners.
